Lancet publishes ACHIEVE-2 trial of orforglipron against dapagliflozin

1. 01The multicentre, randomised, non-inferiority, open-label phase 3 ACHIEVE-2 trial compared the oral GLP-1 orforglipron with the SGLT2 inhibitor dapagliflozin as add-on to metformin.
2. 02An oral peptide-free GLP-1 tested head-to-head against a standard oral second-line agent speaks directly to prescribing sequence in type 2 diabetes.
