Novo says Wegovy pill drew 1.3 million US prescriptions in first quarter
Adjusted sales fell on lower realized prices even as the company reported more than 4 million patients on its obesity treatments.

- 01Novo Nordisk said the oral Wegovy launched early this year generated 1.3 million US prescriptions in the first quarter and over 2 million since launch, with 207,000 weekly scripts in the week ended April 17.
- 02US operations head Jamey Millar said close to 80% of pill users are GLP-1 naive, all three largest PBMs added it at parity with the injection, and Wegovy holds about 65% new-to-brand share.
- 03Early volume came largely from self-pay; CEO Mike Doustdar called current pricing the "sweet spot" but said it is dynamic, and adjusted sales still declined on lower realized prices.
