Of 74 interviewed participants, 97.3% described improved glycemic control and 28.4% reported nausea as the most common adverse event.

- 01Researchers interviewed 74 of 147 invited SURPASS-CVOT participants (mean age 68.9, 63.5% male) across 10 US sites; 43 had taken tirzepatide, 31 dulaglutide.
- 02Patients cited weight reduction (91.9%), reduced appetite (78.4%), and some improvement in joint pain (18.9%) and sleep apnea (8.1%), useful for counseling expectations.
- 03Qualitative, self-reported, unblinded and conducted among trial completers, so it cannot compare the two drugs or quantify benefit.
