- 01WIRED bought PT-141, BPC-157, NAD+ and retatrutide vials from vendor INDR Labs at a Bedford Avenue bodega and sent them to testing startup Finnrick; none contained the active ingredient on the label.
- 02The vials were sold as 'research use only' and handed over in an unlabeled paper bag, illustrating the gray-market supply risk clinicians and patients face outside 503A and 503B channels.
- 03The lab chief executive says the analysis only verifies label claims, so what the vials actually contained is unknown; degradation from improper storage is one possible explanation.
