The wire
- 01A retrospective study of 1,028 adults on weekly tirzepatide for at least 12 months found median 12.6% total body weight loss, with fasting glucose down 19.5% and HbA1c down 16.0%.
- 02Among the 275 patients with complete data, ASCVD risk dropped 9.6% at 10-20% weight loss and 14.2% above 20%, but rose non-significantly in those losing under 10%.
- 03The design is observational and retrospective at a single health system, and estimated ASCVD risk is a surrogate rather than an events endpoint.
