The wire
- 01In a retrospective chart review of 91 patients, 85.7% African American, mean age 56.4, HbA1c fell 2.39% and weight fell 4.76 kg over a mean 14.9 months of treatment (both p<.001).
- 02African Americans are underrepresented in real-world GLP-1 data, so the results give clinicians a reference point for outcomes in this population.
- 03The study is retrospective, single-clinic and uncontrolled; high-dose dulaglutide outperformed low-dose (p=.023), but drivers of differential response remain unexamined.
