The wire

  1. 01A 41-year-old woman died in July after cardiac arrest following compounded retatrutide from what the report calls an unreliable source; a 49-year-old died in September after severe dehydration, malnutrition and cardiac arrest.
  2. 02Retatrutide is not legally available outside Eli Lilly programs, so clinicians seeing patients on it are dealing with gray-market material of unverified dose and content.
  3. 03A separate analysis of roughly 150,000 social posts from 13,500 users of unapproved retatrutide logged increased appetite, fatigue, insomnia and heart-rate rises, with psychiatric symptoms reported by 30%; FAERS reports are voluntary and unverified.
