US pharmaceutical major Eli Lilly reported that its experimental weight-loss and diabetes drug, retatrutide, achieved greater blood sugar reduction and more than double the weight loss of Novo Nordisk’s Ozempic 2 mg in a Phase 3 clinical trial. However, the findings are preliminary, and the drug remains unapproved for use in India or elsewhere.
