  1. 01TRIUMPH-2 randomized adults with type 2 diabetes to placebo or retatrutide 4, 9 or 12 mg for 80 weeks, with nearly 21 percent average weight loss at the top dose and a 1.6 percent average A1C drop.
  2. 02TRIUMPH-3 enrolled roughly 2,000 adults with BMI of 40 or higher and cardiovascular disease, testing 9 and 12 mg doses, a population clinicians rarely see represented in obesity drug trials.
  3. 03Retatrutide is a triple agonist at GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors and is not FDA-approved; the trials were funded by Eli Lilly and the data have not been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
