The wire
- 01NCT06632457, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim, started November 2024 and is recruiting adults with compensated NASH/MASH cirrhosis and BMI at least 27, or 25 for Asian participants, to test liver-related clinical outcomes.
- 02Survodutide is a weekly injected glucagon/GLP-1 dual agonist, and a cirrhosis outcomes trial extends incretin testing into a population excluded from most obesity studies.
- 03Participants with other chronic liver disease or high alcohol intake are excluded; follow-up runs up to 4.5 years, so outcome data are years away.
