- 01Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences researchers tested polysorbate 80, polysorbate 20 and poloxamer 188 on liraglutide, semaglutide and glucagon under agitation stress using SEC, CD and NMR.
- 02PS80 bound liraglutide specifically and drove the fastest aggregation; PS20 was less disruptive, a caution for anyone formulating or repackaging peptide parenterals.
- 03Findings are molecule-dependent bench data under forced agitation stress, not shelf-life or clinical stability results for marketed products.
