The wire
- 01Twelve adults with Prader-Willi syndrome (mean BMI 46.6, 75% with type 2 diabetes) on median 2.4 mg weekly semaglutide showed -3.1% weight change versus +5.7% gain beforehand (P=0.037).
- 02Hyperphagia scores dropped 7.3 points (P=0.003) and HbA1c improved in the six with elevated baseline; mild gastrointestinal effects in 25% caused no discontinuations.
- 03The authors call it a small open-label observational cohort and say larger placebo-controlled trials are needed, including adolescents and patients without type 2 diabetes.
