Lilly opens retatrutide expanded access to patients with refractory obesity
Eligible patients must be unable to enroll in a trial, be 18 or older, be on the highest approved obesity therapy dose and have two serious obesity complications.

- 01Eli Lilly said it will supply the Phase 3 triple agonist retatrutide, which targets GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon, to a limited number of patients before FDA approval under an expanded access program.
- 02Clinicians now have a legitimate route to authentic retatrutide for a narrow group of patients, which Lilly contrasts with black-market product it warns against.
- 03The drug is not approved by any regulator, trials in obesity, type 2 diabetes and obstructive sleep apnea are ongoing, and Lilly is reviewing provider requests case by case.
