The wire
- 01Retrospective cross-sectional study measured follicular fluid Kisspeptin-1, Kisspeptin-54 and VEGF by ELISA in 30 normoresponders, 30 women with PCOS and 30 who developed OHSS; all differed significantly (p<0.001).
- 02Kisspeptin-54 (OR 1.031) and VEGF (OR 1.008) remained associated with OHSS alongside AFC, AMH and trigger-day estradiol, adding to the case that kisspeptin signalling reflects ovarian hyperresponsiveness.
- 03Design is retrospective with 30 patients per arm and measures kisspeptin as a marker, not a therapy; the authors frame the peptides as complementary indicators pending prospective work.
