  1. 01Ulm University researchers analyzed nearly 1,900 people aged 6 to 24 with type 2 diabetes in a German, Austrian and Luxembourg registry from 2019 to 2025; GLP-1 prescribing rose from 6.3% to 27.2%.
  2. 02In the 240-patient treated subset, mean age-adjusted BMI fell 2.3%, a quarter reached 10% reduction, and hypertension incidence dropped from 60% to 52%.
  3. 03Findings were presented at the EASD meeting in Milan and are real-world and uncontrolled; US labels cover ages 12 and up, while Europe allows weight-loss use from age 6.
