- 01The retrospective cohort, published in the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, found greater average weight loss with tirzepatide (−11.15%) than semaglutide (−8.83%) at six months in routine care.
- 02Tirzepatide also showed higher rates of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% weight-loss thresholds and greater improvement in BMI, systolic and diastolic blood pressure and HbA1c.
- 03The analysis is retrospective, Lilly-authored and based on de-identified electronic health records, so dosing, adherence and unmeasured confounding limit interpretation despite alignment with SURMOUNT-5.
