The wire
- 01In NMCD, four studies met criteria and three randomized trials (n=1,876) were pooled: KCCQ-CSS rose 7.39 points, six-minute walk distance 17.18 m, and body weight fell 7.73%.
- 02Clinicians managing obesity-related HFpEF now have pooled evidence supporting an adjunctive role for incretin therapy alongside standard care, with gastrointestinal intolerance the most common adverse event.
- 03Heterogeneity for weight loss was high (I2 93%) and only three randomized trials were included; the authors call for larger, longer dedicated outcome trials.
