The wire
- 01Researchers linked a CXCR4 antagonist peptide to gemcitabine, reporting reduced Erk and P38 phosphorylation, less CXCL12-driven tumor cell migration, and longer survival than gemcitabine in orthotopic pancreatic cancer mice.
- 02The conjugate also cut tumor-associated macrophages and raised CD8+ T-cell infiltration without the peripheral blood count drops that limit gemcitabine dosing.
- 03Findings are from cell lines and a mouse model only, with no human data, dosing schedule comparisons or toxicology package reported.
