The wire
- 01Diet-induced obese C57BL/6J mice got daily subcutaneous semaglutide 10 nmol/kg, tirzepatide 3 nmol/kg or vehicle for four weeks after 18 weeks of high-fat diet; both downregulated CD36 and CPT1A.
- 02Findings suggest GLP-1 receptor activation alone drives the core hepatic response, with GIP co-agonism mainly adding extrahepatic effects relevant to liver-disease indications.
- 03Lipogenic enzymes and glucose-handling proteins were unchanged; this is a male-mouse targeted-proteomics study, not human liver data.
