The wire
- 01Among 37 adults aged 65 and older on tirzepatide at a maximum 5 mg/week, 23 (62.2%) met a composite of persistence, no adverse-event discontinuation and either 3% weight loss or 1.0-point HbA1c drop.
- 02Median weight change was -3.07% and median HbA1c change -1.0 percentage point, with 51.4% reaching HbA1c below 7.0% and renal, hydration and nutritional markers generally stable.
- 03The study was a single-center retrospective cohort with younger adults used only as overlap-weighted contextual comparators, so the low-dose strategy has not been tested prospectively.
