The wire
- 01Retrospective disproportionality analysis of FAERS reports from Q3-2009 to Q3-2025 found biliary adverse event signals for all four drugs, while metformin and SGLT2 inhibitors showed none.
- 02Median time to onset was 85.5 to 136 days for pancreatic events and 146.5 to 320 days for biliary events, useful framing for clinicians monitoring patients after initiation.
- 03Authors note pancreatic signals were weaker for obesity-indicated brands and that spontaneous reporting cannot estimate incidence or prove causality; cohort validation is needed.
