The wire
- 01In vitro testing against six ATCC reference strains and six clinical isolates found LTX-315 MICs of 8-32 µM against reference strains and down to 4 µM against several MDR isolates, where chloramphenicol and kanamycin failed.
- 02LTX-315 was developed as an oncolytic peptide; the data position it as a possible standalone antimicrobial or antibiotic adjuvant, with fourfold to 16-fold reductions in partner antibiotic dose.
- 03Findings are laboratory-only, with no animal or human data on toxicity or systemic exposure reported in this Journal of Peptide Science paper.
