The wire
- 01Across five randomised trials, CagriSema produced 6.89 percentage points more weight loss than semaglutide 2.4 mg (95% CI -8.70 to -5.06), -7.16 kg absolute, and RR 2.10 for reaching 20% reduction.
- 02No incremental glycaemic benefit was detected; HbA1c and fasting glucose intervals fell within prespecified minimal important differences, while injection-site reactions rose (RR 3.14).
- 03Authors say evidence is insufficient to judge serious adverse events or neoplasms, and durability, cardiovascular outcomes and body composition remain undetermined.
