Liraglutide beats endoscopic argon plasma coagulation for weight regain after gastric bypass

1. 01Single-center retrospective study (2018-2022) of 98 patients with at least 10% recurrent weight gain after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass compared liraglutide 3.0 mg (43 patients) with argon plasma coagulation (55 patients).
2. 02At 24 months 43% of liraglutide patients versus 17% of APC patients kept BMI below 30 kg/m2, informing how bariatric teams handle weight recurrence.
3. 03The study is retrospective, non-randomized and single-center, and used liraglutide rather than newer incretins.
