- 01Long-term extension data presented at the American College of Gastroenterology meeting showed clinical response rates of 81.3%, 72.7% and 72.7% at 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg icotrokinra, with endoscopic improvement of 63.6% to 68.6%.
- 02The oral IL-23 receptor-blocking peptide is already FDA-approved for plaque psoriasis in patients 12 and older; investigator Maria Abreu said it could serve as a first-line advanced therapy in ulcerative colitis if approved.
- 03These are phase IIb extension results in patients who remained on treatment, not a controlled comparison; the original 12-week placebo-controlled phase was published in NEJM, and phase III data would be needed for a UC label.
