The wire
- 01In a NEJM trial, people without diabetes on the top retatrutide dose lost about a quarter of body weight over 80 weeks; a Lancet trial in type 2 diabetes showed about 19% loss.
- 02In TRIUMPH-1, roughly 4 in 10 on the top dose had nausea, about 1 in 8 reported burning or tingling skin, and about 1 in 11 had low blood pressure, including people on no antihypertensives.
- 03About 4 in 10 commercially insured patients stop GLP-1 drugs within a year, most often over cost and side effects; four state Medicaid programs dropped obesity-drug coverage since last fall.
