The wire
- 01In Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism, daily subcutaneous survodutide at 7.5 nmol/kg for 10 weeks reduced body weight, hyperglycemia and HbA1c while improving albuminuria, glomerulosclerosis, kidney hypertrophy and inflammation versus vehicle.
- 02Survodutide is in phase 3 for obesity and MASH; renal findings suggest a possible additional indication clinicians following incretin pipelines may see tested.
- 03This is a mouse model of advanced diabetic kidney disease using adeno-associated virus renin overexpression and uninephrectomy; the authors call only for further investigation in chronic kidney disease.
